Golden Colorado Events

Celebrate lighting the lights at Clear Creek, enjoy the Golden Music Festival in June, celebrate Independence Day, and Golden has free music and movies in the park in August. August is also the time of year when more than a hundred artists exhibit and sell their works at Golden's Fine Arts Festival. The first Friday night of each summer month is the annual Golden Christmas Caroling Festival, a celebration of all things that mean Christmas in gold. It has become one of our most popular winter events, drawing thousands of people to the streets of Golden to celebrate the light of Christmas and the Christmas season and other holidays.

The Mount Vernon Canyon Club is also an attractive venue for meetings and events, and also has great opportunities for groups. It is also home to the Golden Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and largest business organization of Golden.

The American Mountaineering Center offers many year-round programs and events and is also home to the Washburn Mountain Club and Mount Vernon Canyon Club. The American Alpeered Center, which also hosts events such as Washingburn Mt. Baldy Mountain Lodge, Golden Mountain Center for the Blind and Mountain Guides, and many other events, also hosts a number of events and events.

Clear Creek is also home to a nationally known kayaking course and the city is home to the American Mountaineering Center. Due to its proximity to both cities, Clear Creek Park offers a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking and paragliding.

Golden was an innovative city during the Civil War, having served as Colorado's territorial capital from 1862 to 1867. Golden High School is competing in a variety of sports at the 4A competition in Colorado. In higher education, Golden has the Colorado School of Mines, located in Golden on a hill overlooking the city, and the University of California, Berkeley. Colorado Mining School competes in a variety of sports, including football (dating back to 1888), baseball and basketball.

Today, Golden has a population of 18,000, retains a historical identity and is home to the University of Colorado School of Mines, Colorado Mining School and Golden High School.

The city's thriving beer culture is supported by several microbreweries, including Golden Brewing Company, Golden Beer Co. and Golden Brewery Company. During our meeting time, the Coors Brewery Tour seldom disappoints, showcasing the world's largest single brewery.

While the city is a great destination for meetings and events, Colorado as a state offers a wide range of opportunities for all groups. The Colorado Mountain Club, the oldest and largest mountain club in the country, is the largest archive of mountaineering literature in the world and is internationally known for its events, conferences and educational programs. Founded in 1923, the hotel, named after the first president of the Colorado Mountaineer's Association, John A. Mount, hosts more than 2,000 members and more than 1,500 events.

It is home to Colorado's oldest rock 'n' blues band, the Blue Moon Band, and the birthplace of candy - Hershey's Foods Corporation.

The three-day event, which brings outdoor vendors together with recreational athletes, will take place at the Jefferson County Fairground in early October. If you attend the Mopar Big Block Party in July, you'll start your summer with the annual Rockin 'in the Park event at Colorado State University in Denver.

Bring your bike and costume and join the Golden Cruise or take a seat on the Avenue to ride classic cars through the city on the first Saturday of the month. Take a ride on a horse - in a carriage or take a walk or take fresh produce bought at the Golden farmers market.

Jefferson County NAAC Stadium is located in Golden, CO, on the southeast corner of 64th and 93rd Highways. It is affiliated with the Golden High School football and basketball teams and Colorado State University football teams.
